Cat Hai - Phu Long cable car project is invested by Sun Group with total investment of 3 billion USD. Ngoc Xanh Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company is the main contractor for raw construction works and structural plaster of Phu Long station.

This is a 3-wire cable car line crossing the Cat Hai - Phu Long sea with the length of nearly 4000m, the scale of 20.44ha including station, parking, cable car line and cable post. Cat Hai - Phu Long cable car route is also the longest and largest cable car route in the world. This cable car route will shorten travel time to Cat Ba by about 20 minutes by ferry to 9 minutes by cable car, and reduce congestion at Got ferry during the peak tourist season.
